Adapting to Information Overload: A Proposed Framework for Digital Research

Publication volume in materials and energy research has outrun the reading capacity of any individual group. This piece proposes a three-stage framework — collecting literature, processing information, integrating notes — and argues that the bottleneck is no longer access but the absence of a workflow that survives the volume.
